ENDORSEMENTS
Dave Donelson
Colorado Springs City Council
I strongly support Bill Wysong for County Commissioner. I ask you to vote for Bill. Bill has represented his neighborhood, and really the entire Westside, in front of City Council on several occasions and I have personally seen how effective he is in representing you. Navy Veteran, Eagle Scout, and family man, Bill Wysong is who you want representing you, your family, and your neighborhood on the Board of County Commissioners. Bill will represent you - not special interests.

I've known Bill for several years and observed the results of his hard work and commitment to the neighbors on the Westside. He has been a voice for all members of the community and will bring the same level of compassion and commitment to the Board of County Commissioners. Vote Bill Wysong for Commissioner District 3.

In November 2021, I toured several areas in the westside of the city, including the Broadmoor and the area devastated by the Waldo Canyon Fire with Bill Wysong and others from Westside Watch.
The lack of egress routes out of the westside is alarming, as it all lies within the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI). As part of my presentation before the City Council, one of my concerns was the increased tourism traffic concentrated on the westside and the failure to include the increased number of vehicles in evacuation planning.
As I stated before City Council, "If you don't have a good plan for the Broadmoor Resort...if you don't have a good plan for conferences or golf tournaments, then your citizens aren't going to get out."
My opinion is Bill is the person with the knowledge to best serve the westside as County Commissioner.

I've seen Bill’s commitment to Monument as he helped fight for the rights of the local neighbors against misplaced over-development that would cause an enormous negative impact on the local homeowners. He has the drive and integrity to do the right thing for our community. He is the right choice for County Commissioner D3.

As a member of the C.S.F.D. for over 38 years and as a member of El Paso County's Office of Emergency Management for nearly 4 years, I've had the opportunity to work with numerous citizens and elected officials. I first met Bill several years ago when he was the president of Westside Watch. Bill is a tireless worker, willing to give his time to help make Colorado Springs a safer community. As County Commissioner, I know Bill will put citizens first and will be accessible to citizens as well as an equitable decision maker, not influenced by moneyed interests.
